How Self-Service Dog Laundry Works — Step by Step

Never used a self service dog wash? No worries — the process is as easy as ATM. This guide explains exactly what happens from the moment you arrive until you leave with a clean, happy dog.

Before You Come

  • Bring your dog on a leash — it doesn’t have to be trained, but it should be relatively calm
  • Bring a dictionary or a payment card
  • No reservation required — free access 24/7

Step 1: Login and Pay (1 min)

Access the machine, select the program on the touchscreen:

  • Short program (small dogs, short hair) — 15 min
  • Standard program (medium dogs) — 25 min
  • Long program (large dogs, thick hair) — 35 min

Pay by card or cash. The machine unlocks.

Step 2: Positioning the Dog (2 min)

The machine has an ergonomic desk at the appropriate height — the dog stands on a rubber pad that prevents slipping. Attach it to the clip inside the machine (optional). The dog is safe and cannot escape.

Step 3: Bath (15-35 min)

The machine has everything you need — accessible at the push of a button:

  • Hot and cold water (regulate the temperature)
  • Dog shampoo (several types — sensitive skin, anti-parasitic, shiny coat)
  • Conditioner / balm
  • Scented shower gel (optional)

Self-service — you wash the dog, the machine provides water and preparations.

Step 4: Rinse (5 min)

Strong jets of hot water rinse out all the shampoo. Ecran guides you through the process.

Step 5: Drying — Blow Dryer (optional)

Right next to the bathing machine, the drying station. Pay 300-600 din for 15-20 minutes of professional drying. The dog comes out dry and ready.

The Whole Process — Time Overview

Phase Duration
Arrival and payment 1-2 min
Bathing 15-35 minutes
Drying (hair dryer) 10-20 min.
TOTAL 30-60 min

How much does it cost?

  • Bathing: 500-1,500 din (depending on the size of the dog and the program)
  • Drying: 300-600 din
  • Total: 800-2,100 din — 3-5x cheaper than the salon

What if the dog is not cooperative?

Most dogs get used to it quickly — especially since the owner bathes the dog himself, which gives the dog security. Recommendation for the first visit: bring a young or tame dog at a quiet time (not on weekend mornings when it’s crowded).

For aggressive or extremely nervous dogs — we recommend a salon with professional staff.
