The client connects to your selected email server using IMAP/SMTP. Messages and attachments remain on that server under your email provider’s policies. Reading through the connector does not automatically mark a message as read.
Mailbox passwords are stored in Windows Credential Manager. Settings, message metadata and opened message text are stored on your computer. The client does not separately encrypt its local mail cache; protect your Windows account and disk.
Backups may include account settings, passwords and message archives. Protected backups use AES-256; password-free backups can be read without a password. EML/TXT/HTML exports and local print/forwarding files may contain personal or business email. You control these files and their deletion.
The connector exposes permitted accounts to your chosen assistant. MCP defaults to read-only. Optional requests to send, reply or move mail require actual approval in the desktop client. Requests are stored locally without additional encryption and expire after 10 minutes. Demo mode uses fictional data. Selected real email content may be sent to an AI provider under its policies and settings. Mailbox passwords are not returned by MCP tools. Only connect accounts you are authorized to access.
Version checks download signed metadata and packages from the GermanPro HTTPS server. Hosting may record IP addresses and request information. The active HTTPS licensing service processes the license key during activation, device identifier/public key, nonce and last-check time. Its database stores a license SHA-256 rather than the key itself. It receives no email content or mailbox passwords. Contact order@germanpro.net about retention or removal of licensing records.
When you contact us, we receive the contact details and information you include. Send only what is needed; omit passwords, API keys and private messages. For access, correction or deletion of information you have supplied to us, contact order@germanpro.net; requests are handled subject to applicable obligations.
Disconnecting an AI connector stops future access through that connection but does not erase earlier conversations with the AI provider. Deletion moves a message to server Trash; while running, the client removes Trash messages after 30 days from their first local observation there. Caches, exports and backups may remain locally. These pages do not include advertising or analytics scripts; other GermanPro pages may use different settings.
Portable describes startup, not carrying passwords on a USB drive. Settings, cache and AI permissions stay in the Windows user's LocalAppData/ExpertProMail profile. Mailbox passwords stay in that user's Windows Credential Manager. Removing the program folder does not remove user data, backups or Vault records.
Activation and renewal use HTTPS. The service processes the license key, device identity/public key, nonce and check time; the server database stores the license SHA-256 instead of the key itself. Records verify the paid period and up to two active devices. The service receives no mail content or mailbox passwords. Hosting may keep normal IP/request logs.
Licensing data is separate from email accounts and backups. Transferring a backup does not transfer Pro rights to unlimited computers. Contact order@germanpro.net about access to or removal of licensing records; never expose your key in a screenshot.
