Reporting a problem
Include the version/build from Settings → About & updates, your Windows version, the email provider, the action you attempted and the error text. Screenshots can help after private information is hidden.

Adding accounts
Gmail/Workspace, Yahoo, Fastmail and Zoho have server presets; other IMAP accounts can be configured manually. Gmail currently needs an app password where the account permits one. Google/Microsoft OAuth is not implemented.
Claude, Codex and ChatGPT
Settings → AI connections configures local Codex and Claude Desktop connections. MCP defaults to read-only; action requests wait for review in the client. Restart the assistant and check its tools after setup. A ChatGPT private tunnel requires additional OpenAI setup; there is no approved GermanPro directory plugin. Updates
Version 0.6.1 checks the signed beta channel at startup and every six hours. Downloads run in the background; installation waits until the client is hidden and idle or until the next launch. Open drafts defer installation.
Export, print and restore
Export email saves the original message as EML or readable content as TXT/HTML. Print opens a browser preview where you choose a printer or Save as PDF. Attachments are listed but not printed. Restore reconnects accounts; it does not automatically upload deleted archived messages to the server.
Availability and licensing
Portable Beta is available for download. Free allows 3 active accounts; Pro allows unlimited active accounts for one user on up to two computers. Online license activation and renewal are enabled. Checkout is not enabled: request Pro by contacting us, and an operator issues the key after confirmed payment. Beta support has no contracted SLA; do not send passwords.
Starting and moving
Extract the complete ZIP and open GermanPro-Mail.exe. Keep app and runtime folders beside the launcher. If the app is already in the tray, another launch restores that window. Choose Exit from the tray menu before opening a new version.
Use Backup/Restore for another PC. Copying the application folder alone does not transfer accounts or Windows Vault passwords. Reconfigure the local AI connection after changing the program path.
Pro activation and renewal
Enter your confirmed Pro key in Settings → License and activate it online. One user has up to two active computers. A license is tied to the device, not just a copied folder. If activation reports full device slots or an error, send support the version and error text without your key or passwords.
Signed authorization lasts at most 7 days and never beyond your paid period. Its renewal requires an online check. Without internet it cannot be extended; after expiry the Free limit of 3 active accounts applies while profiles and caches remain. An operator extends the paid period after confirmed payment.
Updates 0.6.1
Signed update checks run at startup and every 6 hours, and remain available to Free users. Portable and the public signed source channel are both 0.6.1. Source updates replace application files, not bundled Python or the EXE launcher; download a complete ZIP for a new runtime. Keep a backup and use Save draft before exiting.
